One of our favorite memories from this summer was welcoming Muhammad Fazal and his two friends from Pakistan for their first off-road adventure in the Dubai desert. While staying at Grand Mercure Business Bay during their holiday, they wanted to experience something completely different from the city’s skyscrapers and shopping malls. After browsing different desert activities, they decided to book a 1-hour Can-Am dune buggy ride, 30 minutes of quad biking, and sandboarding with our team at Quad Bikes Dubai.
Our driver picked them up directly from Grand Mercure Business Bay Hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. During the drive to the Al Badayer Desert, also known as Dubai’s famous Red Dunes, our guide explained the day’s activities, safety rules, and what to expect during the adventure.

Once they arrived at our desert camp, our experienced instructors welcomed them with cold bottled water before providing a complete safety briefing. Since none of the group had previous off-road driving experience, we explained how to operate the Can-Am buggy, demonstrated the safety features, and ensured everyone was properly fitted with helmets, goggles, and other protective gear. After a short practice session, they felt confident and ready to begin their desert adventure.
The group chose our 1-hour Can-Am buggy experience, driving across the beautiful red dunes of Al Badayer under the guidance of one of our professional desert tour leaders. Although it was one of the hotter summer days in Dubai, they still enjoyed navigating the rolling dunes, taking in the breathtaking desert scenery, and stopping at several viewpoints for memorable photos.
After completing the buggy ride, they switched to 30 minutes of quad biking. Riding a quad bike across the soft desert sand gave them a completely different experience, allowing them to explore smaller dunes and enjoy even more freedom while following their guide through the designated trail.
No desert adventure would be complete without sandboarding, and the group was excited to give it a try. They climbed one of the larger dunes and slid down the soft golden sand several times. Despite the summer heat, they couldn’t stop smiling and laughing as they raced each other down the slopes and captured fun photos and videos.
Because temperatures were quite high that afternoon, the group decided to finish their activities a little earlier than planned. Our team made sure they stayed hydrated throughout the experience and escorted them back to our air-conditioned vehicle for the return journey.
After the adventure, we provided a comfortable drop-off back at Grand Mercure Business Bay Hotel, where they could relax after an exciting day in the Dubai desert.
Before leaving, Muhammad Fazal shared that the highlight of the trip was driving the Can-Am buggy through the towering red dunes and experiencing the peaceful beauty of the desert.
